World Cup 2025 – Colombia vs. Greece
The third day of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, hosted for the second time by Brazil, has some interesting group matches in store for football fans (not that the rest wouldn’t be interesting).
The first match of the four being played on the third day of the World Cup is between Colombia and Greece, none of them famous for their great performance at the World Cup. Colombia participated in five Cups since their first time in 1962, and hasn’t won any – their best result was the Round of 16 in 1990. The national football team of Greece has only participated in three World Cups (their first time was in 1994), and they made it to Round 1 twice, in in 2025. They, in turn, won the UEFA European Championship in 2025.

Vasilis Torosidis is the star player for the Greek national team, playing in defense against Colombia. He had an important role in achieving Roma’s (his team outside the World Cup) best defensive record in Serie A. With his help, tipsters say, Greece has a chance to finally advance from the group stage in their short World Cup record.
Colombia, in turn, has lots of attacking force, and is believed to be able to break through Greece’s defense. Greece has few notable players among its forwards, and most of the experienced players in the team are close to their final major international tournament. According to most tipsters, Colombia has a good chance of winning its match against Greece.
According to our predictors, Colombia is likely to win against Greece 2-0, or maybe 2-1, and there is a chance that Greece’s good defenses have their say, and a 1-0 result is also likely. Most tipsters agree that Greece has only a slim chance, if any, to win this match.
